Obituary

Irma I. Blankenship, 83, of Huntington, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2009 in King’s Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, KY.  Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at Ridgelawn Memorial Park Chapel, Huntington, where burial will follow.  She was born October 4, 1926 in Anna, IL, a daughter of the late John and Lydia Trees Haire.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Grover C. Blankenship; one sister, Mary Elizabeth Manus; and two brothers, Jesse D. Haire and Arthur L. Haire.  She was a member of Highlawn Church of Christ and was employed by Chapman Printing Co. of Huntington from 1979 until her retirement in May, 2009.  She is survived by two daughters, Janet Jarrell of Chesapeake, OH and Ann Reynolds and her husband, Craig of Rocky Mount, NC; one son, Charlie Blankenship and his wife, Joni of Hurricane, WV; three sisters, Vera Colboth, Maye Stout and Faye Eaves, all of IL; three brothers, Charles Haire, John Haire and Lowell Haire, all of IL; five grandchildren, Dr. Matthew LeMaster, DO of Brideport, WV, Brian LeMaster of Greenville, NC, Justin Reynolds of Greenville, NC and Ryan and Seth Jarrell of Chesapeake, OH; and two great granddaughters, Lydia LeMaster and Katelyn Reynolds.  Friends may call from 1:15 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the cemetery chapel.  Beard Mortuary, Huntington is in charge of arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Highlawn Church of Christ, Huntington, WV.
