Obituary

DANIEL W. JORDAN, 88, of Huntington, WV passed away Monday, July 5, 2010 at St Mary’s Medical Center. He was born April 13, 1922, a son of the late Robert & Sarah Stephens Jordan. He was born in Cabell County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Jordan, 2 stepsons, Larry & Glen Sweet, I grandchild, I sister and 4 brothers and 1 stepdaughter-in-law. He was a member of the 36th Street Tabernacle. He retired from General Motors in Michigan. Survivors include: 1 daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Paul Palleschi, Commerce Twp, Michigan, 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Fran Jordan, Barboursville, WV and Danny and Dee Jordan of Falling Waters, WV. Stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Jerry Sweet, with whom he made his home and Raymond and Vicky Sweet of Huntington, WV., Thomas and Charlene Sweet of Greenbay, Wisconsin and Rhonda Sweet of Hurricane, WV. He had 20 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Phyllis Jeffers and I brother, Bob Jordan, both of Huntington, WV. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Beard Mortuary with Rev. David Collins officiating. Burial will follow at White Chapel. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at the mortuary.
