Obituary

Charles E. Myers. 93, formerly of Huntington, WV passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at The Woodlands Village in Bradenton, Florida.  He was born June 24, 1916, son of the late Cornie E. and Jessie Ward Myers.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Maxine Fry Myers and 6 brothers and 2 sisters.  He is survived by one sister, Anna L. Myers of Huntington, WV, one son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Beryl Myers of Huntington, WV, and one daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Larry Egnor of Proctorville, Ohio.  He had 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends. He owned and operated Myers' Dairy until 1955.  At that time, he started Charles E. Myers Construction, Inc.  He was co-owner of Guyan Ready Mix and the owner and President of Mason Utility Co.  He was a member of the former Southside United Methodist Church.  In lieu of flowers, please consider Tidewell Hospice, 3355 26th Street West, Bradenton, Florida 34205, who took such wonderful care of him during his last days.  A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, June 16 at 12:00 noon, at Beard Mortuary with Pastor Ron Burnsworth officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Lawn memorial Park, Huntington. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of the service at the mortuary.
