EARL FRANKLIN MEADOWS, 97, of Proctorville, OH passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at the Emogene Dolin-Jones Hospice House in Huntington. He was born on June 15, 1913 in Lesage, a son of the late Robert Lee and Mary Magdelina Meehling Meadows. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Collins Meadows, and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by a son, H. Franklin (Betty) Meadows of Huntington; daughters, Phyllis Meadows Strathman of Proctorville, OH and Gloria Jean (Frazier) Meadows Eskew; sister, Clarice Meadows Dial of Barboursville; four grandchildren, Billy (Dianna) Strathman of MD, Timothy Earl Belville of Huntington, Kevin Lee (Jennifer) Meadows of MD, and Roy Lee (Samantha) Belville II of FL; and 8 great-grandchildren. Mr. Meadows was retired from INCO and was a member of the Good Samaritan Church in Huntington. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel in Barboursville with Rev. Robert Hale officiating. Burial will follow the service. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Emogene Dolin-Jones Hospice House.
