ObituaryVICTORIA DUCATO ROZZI, 92, passed away on Feb. 15, 2011, at the home of her son Ralph in Ona, W.VA. She was the daughter of the late Louis Ducato and Josephine Cirrincione Ducato. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Ralph, who passed away Oct. 24, 2010, by her brother, John Ducato and sisters Marie Matansci and Josephine Schmutzer. Victoria was born in McKeesport but was raised in Charleroi and lived there until 1950, when she moved to Stockdale. She and her family lived there until 1995, when she returned to her beloved Charleroi. Eighteen months ago, she and her husband moved to Ona, W.VA. to live with her son, Ralph and his family. Victoria had worked briefly at Corning Glass Works, Charleroi Plant and had served as a council woman in Stockdale. She was also a member of the Charleroi Historical Society, having been very proud of her Italian heritage and the fact that her grandfather was one of the first residents in Charleroi and opened the first fruit market here and her father was a well-known barber in Charleroi for many years. However, her main job in life was taking care of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a very loving and giving person, who never turned anyone away who was in need of anything. Somehow she always found a way to help everyone. She was a very devout Born-Again Christian and she preached the Bible to many young people, holding prayer sessions in her home while living in Stockdale. Besides her family and her faith, her other joy came from traveling around the country with her husband in their motor home, always taking family and friends with them. She is survived by her children, Dolores Rozzi of Huntington, W.VA, Adele (Walter) Hopkins of Charleroi, Ralph (Tammy) Rozzi of Ona, W.VA., and Josette (Randy) Miller of Port St. Lucie, FL.; seven grandchildren Kristin Hopkins Calcek, Renee Rozzi (Lance) Brunsell, Bryan (Shelly) Rozzi, Leanna (Derek) Spada, Angela (Shane) Fish, Josh Miller and Leila Rozzi; eight great grandchildren Deven, Ross, Brian, Kylie, Paige, Raegan, Bella and Gino., as well as many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Saturday 2 to 5p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
