MAXINE STEVENS GWILLIAMS, 83, of Huntington, WV went to be with the Lord on September 1, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital. Born March 9, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Elva and Lester Stevens. Maxine was a Marshall University graduate, retired Cabell County school teacher and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Harry Gwilliams and a special friend Bill Winters. She is survived by her daughter Beverly (Lynn) Ours, son Steve (Beth) Gwilliams; grandchildren, Jon (Kerri) Ours, Christa Nuckols, Stacy (Nathaniel) Wall, Tyler (fiancé Jennifer Frye) Gwilliams, John-Paul Gwilliams, one step-granddaughter, Martha (Tony) Love; great-grandchildren, Caden Ours and Grayson Miles Wall and two step great-grandchildren, Pierce and Alyssa Love; two brothers, Robert Stevens, Bill (Verna) Stevens; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church with Pastor Jerry Warren officiating. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at the church. Beard Mortuary is assisting the family.
