JUNE MARILYN CHARTER WILCOX A

JUNE MARILYN CHARTER WILCOX, who passed away on
April 8, 2015, will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 11 a.m. to
1 p.m. at
Beard Mortuary, Huntington. June was born on July
19, 1928, in Charleston, W.Va., a daughter of the late Milford and Helen
Charter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her
grandson Roger Wilcox Jr. and her brothers Milford Jr. and Richard Charter.
She is survived by her daughters Bonnie Wilcox of Huntington and Rose
(Armando) Araujo of Sunrise, Fla., and many nieces and nephews. At the time
of her death, she was also survived by her son Roger K. Wilcox, who is now
recently deceased. June was a graduate of Cabell County schools, graduating
from Huntington East High School in 1946. Blessed with both energy and
talent for organization, she worked as a telephone operator, a homemaker, a
retail saleswoman, and a caregiver for both her mother and her
mother-in-law. June always said she was proudest of her job as a homemaker
and mother, creating beautiful homes in which to raise her children. Her
interests and talents included gardening, cooking and baking, needlecrafts,
antiquing and entertaining friends, especially during the holidays. Her
family would like to thank her friends and neighbors who were so kind and
helpful to her during her final years in Huntington.
