Obituary
JANET RUTH CHANDLER BLAIR,
79, wife of Ford Blair, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2015 at the Emogene
Dolin-Jones Hospice House in Huntington. She was born on June 7, 1935 in
Beaver, OH, the eldest daughter of the late Edgel and Ova (Montgomery)
Chandler. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister,
Frances Perdue. She is survived by her daughter Denise (David) Stombock of
Huntington; sisters, Betty (Johnnie) Jones and Shirley (Bernard) Sexton;
brother-in-law, Terry Perdue; and grandchildren, Alexandria and Chad Terry.
She took great pleasure in watching her granddaughter show horses and her
grandson play music. She was a 1953 graduate of Vinson High School and
retired after 43 years of service with Stationers/Champion Industries.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 11:00 am at
Beard Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Lee Dean officiating. Burial will
follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington. Visitation will be held on
Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 pm at the mortuary. While the family
appreciates floral tributes, they suggest that those who prefer may express
their sympathy by making donations to Hospice House in Mrs. Blair’s honor.
