Obituary
REUBEN EARL "ROBBY" ROBERTSON, 67, of
Milton, W.Va., passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015, at St. Mary's Medical
Center. He was born April 13, 1947 in Broken Arrow, Okla., the son of the
late William Ernest and Alma Brooks Robertson. He was preceded in death by a
grandson Cooper Slayton, brothers James, Carl and Charles Robertson, and
father and mother-in-law Marshall and Eloise Faulkner. Robby attended Jenks
High School and Marshall University. He retired from Special Metals. He is a
Navy veteran, brother, father and grandfather. Robby enjoyed spending time
with his family, especially his four grandchildren. After retirement, Robby
split his time between Hilton Head Island, S.C., and W.Va. He never let you
guess where you stood with him, peppering that forthrightness with playful
wit and an infectious sense of humor. Those who knew and loved him were
often graced with his generosity. He is survived by his wife Brenda Faulkner
Robertson; children Erin Robertson-Mogan, Holly Robertson-Slayton and Tyler
Robertson; grandchildren Caden Joseph Blake, Quinn Marshall Robertson,
Elliott Robertson Mogan and Ellie Kathleen Slayton; brothers William, Frank,
Eldon, Gary and Joe Robertson, and their families of Tulsa, Okla.; brother
and sister-in-law Bruce and Nancy Faulkner. A celebration of Robby's life
will held on his birthday, Monday, April 13 at noon at the Abbey of Devotion
– Ridgelawn Memorial Park in Huntington, W.Va.
