Ronald Lee "Ronnie" Murphy, 63, of Huntington, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington. Born September 12, 1952 in Welch, WV, he was a son of the late Monroe Murphy and Nellie Bowyer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lester Murphy, Herbert Murphy and Michael Murphy. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Rebecca Murphy of Huntington; his nieces, Tamra (James) Christian of Huntington and Barbara (Nathan) Dempsey of Huntington; his nephew, Herb Murphy of Huntington; his great-nieces and nephews, Breanna and Jimmy Christian, Allison and A.J. Dempsey, and Patrick and Megan Murphy; one great-great-niece, Trinity Christian and family friend, Lee Scarberry. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Beard Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Mike Chapman, officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday two hours prior to services. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Barboursville.
