Obituary
Harold Edward Johnson, 81, of Crown
City, OH passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 6, 2016 at Heartland
of Riverview, South Point, OH. Funeral services will be held on Friday at
11:00 a.m. at Beard Mortuary with Pastor Charles Turley officiating.
Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery, Miller, OH. He was born April 1,
1935 in Chesapeake, OH the son of the late Lyle Edward and Mary Maxine
Goodall Johnson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by
his loving wife, Verna Jo Hanshaw Johnson and a son, Chris Edward Johnson.
Harold along with his father owned and operated Johnson’s Used Cars for
many years. He was a former investigator for the Prosecuting Attorney’s
office and was currently an appraiser for Meyers, Neville and Baker.
Harold loved his farm and horses and was very fortunate to have a great
group of men whom he considered friends, help him with the upkeep. He is
survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gregory Lyle and Teresa Johnson of
Proctorville, OH; a sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Don Ransbottom
of Huntington, WV; a grandson Andrew Christopher Johnson of South Point,
OH; a great grandson, Brayden Christopher Johnson; two nieces, Lisa and
Kristi; a nephew, Barry and a host of cousins and friends.
