Virginia C. Tivener Beever
(April 22, 1923 ~ June 18, 2017)

Virginia C. Tivener Beever, 94 of Huntington, WV went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Madison Park Healthcare. Services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Beard Mortuary with Minister Wayne Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park. The family will receive friends after 1:00 p.m. She was born April 22, 1923 in Gallipolis, Ohio the daughter of the late Samuel and Hattie VanPelt Tivener. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Cooper and MariAnne Layne and two brothers, Paul and Dale Tivener.  She was an active member of Beverly Hills Church of Christ, where she volunteered with the Food Pantry; she was also a former member and president of the Guyandotte PTA, a Cub Scout Leader and a former Treasurer for Eastern Babe Ruth League. She is survived by her loving family, her husband of 72 years, Max Keith Beever, two daughters, Debbie Gray of Huntington and Sue Edwards and her husband, Roger of Proctorville, OH; two sons, Sam Beever of Proctorville and Jim North and his wife, Lorna of Jackson, TN; eight grandchildren, Kelli Hale, Carrie Lewis, Wes Beever, Josh Gray, Ryan Edwards, Jamie North, Samantha Cook and Casey Beever; eight great-grandchildren, Derek, Parker, Sam, Claire, Max, Josh, Jr., Jonah and Colin; a sister, Eleanor Beever of Terra Alta, WV and a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the Madison Park Healthcare Staff and Dr. Cynthia Pinson for their excellent care of Virginia.
