Ida Mae Dixon

Ida Mae Dixon, 92 of Severn, Maryland, formerly of Huntington passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017. Services will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Woodmere Memorial Park with Rev. Kevin Mackey officiating. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends after 10:30 at the cemetery. She was born November 16, 1924 in Huntington, WV the daughter of the late Charles W. and Edith Anna Fricke Nickel. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald B. Dixon and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Rosalee Nickel and Mervin W. and Annabelle Nickel. She was formerly employed by Stone and Thomas and was the former secretary at St. Paul Lutheran Church. She is survived by a daughter, Donna Jean (Dixon) Ervin, retired minister from music at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church, Annapolis; a grandson, Richard Eric Blomquist of Washington State and a niece, Sonya Nickel Scott.
