Connie Sue Murphy

Connie Sue Murphy 70 of South Point, OH, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Harbor Healthcare of Ironton. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Beard Mortuary with Rev. Richard Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, OH. She was born October 18, 1947 in Huntington, WV the daughter of the late Leonard and Mabel Winters Murphy.  She was a graduate of Chesapeake High School.  She was formerly employed by Perry Norvel Shoe Factory.  Connie was an avid sports fan and especially loved watching college football. She is survived by two sisters, her twin, Bonnie (Ivan) Edmonds of LeSage, WV and Ella Jean (Bill) Rice of Gallipolis, OH; a niece, Traysea (Matt) Moresea and great niece and nephew, Maria  and Max Moresea all of Ashland, KY and several aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Beard Mortuary.
