WALTER L. BEALL, 53, of Huntington, formerly of Washington, D.C., was taken from this life suddenly on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul, and his brother, Paul Jr. He is survived by his mother, Jo Ann; his sister, Lynn (Tom); and his son, Joshua, whom he cherished. He is also survived by his adopted family, the Imperis, who were his neighbors and who welcomed him into their lives and hearts, especially David, who was like a brother to him; and a special friend and mentor, Father Jim Sobus. Walt had a kind, gentle, meek soul. He was a man of few material possessions, but what he possessed in his heart is something which we all should imitate, his kindness and generosity to all. He also had an uncanny ability to remember everyone's birthday that he met. He will be sorely missed by us all. A Catholic Funeral Mass will take place in Maryland, where his family resides. And the meek shall inherit the earth. Beard Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
