Hiram Edward Brunty, 72, of Huntington, WV, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017, at his residence. He was born May 15, 1945 in Lincoln County, WV a son of the late John and Ivory Melissa Dean Brunty. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rose Blankenship. He was an independent truck driver. Survivors include: his wife, Ellen Sue Rose Brunty; four children, Ricky (Annette) Johnson, Michael Edward (Amy) Brunty, John Derric (Sue) Brunty, and Jennifer Lynn Brunty; fourteen grandchildren, Nick Johnson, Heidi Jackson, Erick Johnson, Ryan Johnson, T.J. Johnson, Katie Carter, Mickey Brunty, Joey Brunty, Eddie Brunty, Blake Walls, Brandon Newton, Melissa Clemmons, Kim Browning and Samantha Dean; sixteen great grandchildren; and his siblings, Louise Adkins, Donald Ray Brunty, Jennifer Lynn Justice, and Nada Saunders. There will be a Celebration of his Life from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday, July 10, 2017, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington.
