Joyce Freeman Bostic, 81, of Huntington, WV, went away to join her husband, Orvil Bostic, in Heaven on Friday May 19, 2017 at her residence. She was a 30 year employee of Bell Atlantic (Verizon) working on Information, Long Distance where she was a service assistant, repair service in Huntington. She ended her career as a data base clerk in Charleston, driving over 600 miles a week to retain her pension. She was past President of the Telephone Pioneers of Huntington, life member club of which she is still a member. She was the daughter of Forrest and Elma Freeman who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by 3 very dear close friends Mavaureen Bias, Jean Beter and Pat Adams. She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Bostic Blake and Cathy Bostic Midkiff, one son Curt Alan Bostic, four grandchildren, Leslie Curry and husband Jeff, Jon Blake, Ben Midkiff, and Jessica Bostic, 9 greatgrandchildren, Abigail Grim, Austin and Chloe Midkiff, Jessica, Dillon and Bella Bostic, Sarah, Rebecca and Autumn Curry, and a sister-in-law, Celest McDaniel. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday May 25, 2017 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday May 24, 2017 at Chapman's Mortuary.
