Obituary
Pamela Sue Blankenship, 77, of
Huntington, WV, died Thursday March 31, 2022 in St. Mary's Medical Center.
Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday April 5, 2022 at New
Beginning Apostolic Church (1002 25th St Huntington), with Pastor T.D. Mills
officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Cemetery. Pam was born June
13, 1944 in Monaville (Logan Co.), WV a daughter of the late John Harper
Preece and Louisa Spry Adkins. She worked for the former Corbin Limited and
White Way Laundry. She was a member of the New Beginning Apostolic Church.
Also preceding her in death was her son, Eric Baumgardner, two sisters,
Marcella Preece and Aletha Spears and her father that raised her Arthur
Adkins. Survivors include two sons, Vincent Baumgardner of Lesage and Daniel
Baumgardner of Huntington, one daughter, Cammie Woodard and one sister
Beverly Adkins both of Huntington, one brother, Gary Preece, Sr. of Milton,
seven grandchildren, Shantelle Crouch, Madison Silcox, Matthew Thompson,
Kayla Thacker, Tanner Baumgardner, Chessa Sherland and Alexandra Merritt,
four great grandchildren, Harrison, Sofia and Tinley Silcox and Sophia
Sherland. Visitation will be from 12:00 until 2:00 PM Tuesday at the church.
Chapman's Mortuary Huntington is assisting the family.
