John Garland Edwards
(September 29, 1910 - February 21, 2007)

John Garland Edwards, 96, of Huntington went from death into everlasting life on February 21, 2007 at his residence. He was born September 29, 1910 in Proctorville, OH, the son of the late John and Rhoda Neuby Edwards. John was a life long resident of Huntington and a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Huntington He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Robinson Edwards, one son, John W. Edwards, one sister, Bernice Smith and four brothers; Charles, Cuthbert, Maurice, and Richard Edwards. Survivors include two grandchildren; John W. Edwards and Cynthia L. Holloway, four great-grandchildren, and his former daughter in law Patricia Edwards. He is also survived by four nieces; Charlee Dobey, Ponzetta Wilson, Joan Cohen, and Marilyn Mayo, three nephew; Charles E. Edwards, Larry Edwards, and Hershel Brooks. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Patterson officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00pm until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Huntington.
