Obituary

Jimmie L. Estep, 71 of Huntington passed away March 9, 2007 after a long illness at the Hospice House of Huntington. Jimmie was born September 3, 1935 in Branchland, WV a son of the late Victor and Minnie Estep. Jimmie was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Navy, and retired from the U.S. navy after 21 years of distinguished service. Jimmie served in Korean Conflict while in the U.S. Army and the Cuban Missle Crises while in the Navy. He also retired from the Lincoln County Board of Education. He was preceded in death by on brother, Jack L. Estep. Jimmie was a beloved family man. He is survived by his wife Helen F. Estep of Huntington, WV; four sons, Danny W. Estep and his wife Nancy of Sassafrass, KY., Victor M. Estep of Huntington, WV. Joseph L. Estep and his wife Cindy Green of Stollings, WV., and Jack C. Estep and his wife Sharon E. Lent of Huntington, WV; two grandchildren, Jessica E. Shamblin of Huston, TX and Stephanie L. Estep o Cedarville, WV; and one sister Amanda Hess of Huntington. A host of nieces, nephews, and friends also survive. Wake will be at 2:00pm Thursday at the Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington.
