Obituary

Robert Douglas “Bob” White, 79 of Huntington, WV went to be with the Lord Thursday March 8, 2007 while in Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am Saturday March 10, 2007 at the Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home with Tom Lewis of Milton officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Robert was born June 22, 1927 in Huntington, WV to the late Otto and Mary White. Robert loved the outdoors and liked to sing gospel music. He worked at Steel of West Virginia for several years. He was preceded in death by a special niece Karen Scaggs; and 12 brothers and sisters. He is survived by two daughters, Pamela June Bowen (Sonny) and Janie Evans all of Huntington, WV; four grandchildren, Andy Bowen (Dawn) of Bridgeport, WV., Todd Bowen of Point Pleasant, WV., Carrie Fuller (Paul) of Chesapeake, OH., and Amber Evans of Huntington, WV; five great grandchildren, a special niece Brenda Potthast of McKenna, WA; and a dear and faithful friend Juanita Foster. A host of nieces and nephews also survive. Robert was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grand father and will be sadly missed. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. The care and services of Mr. White are under the direction of Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington.
