(February 22, 1943 - October 28, 2009)

Walter R. “Donnie” Ross, 66 of Huntington passed away October 28, 2009 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his late wife, Linda Sue. He was born February 22, 1943, a son of the late Virgil and Molly Wolfe Ross. Funeral Services will be conducted 12:00 PM Saturday at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Weaver officiating. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three children; Kelly, Donnie, and Shirley, and one brother, Timothy Ross. Survivors include 7 children; Scott Ross, Mollie (Kevin) Wilson, Lisa (Joseph) Brooks, Patricia (Michael) Grieco, Shane(Angela) Ross, Billie Jo (David) Thacker all of Huntington, Timothy (Sarah) Ross of Fairmont, WV. Two sisters; Susan (Warren) Moore of Ceredo, Nellie (Mel) Midkiff of Pepperell, MA. 24 Grandchildren; Scott, Kendall, and Christopher Ross, Brett Woodlee, George and Brandi McDaniels, Destanie Lockhart, Joey Barker, Harry, Kayla, Kenya, Jessie, and Tyler Dunfee, Brianna Meadows, Chandra and Jubel Ross, Shane Osborne, Kyle Grutsch, Brittany, Eddie, Mikey, Kevin, and Erin Paige Murphy, and Rosia Whitt all of Huntington, two great-grandchildren; Kamari Harless, and James McDaniels. Several special nieces and nephews especially Pam Taylor and Allie Cat also survive. Visitation will one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
