Gloria Reed
(July 26, 1945 - April 28, 2011)

Gloria Jean Reed, 65 was born on July 26, 1945 in Big Sandy, West Virginia to the late Jim and Annie Jackson She was one of ten Children. Gloria was happily married to Frank Reed, Jr who preceded her in death. To this union were born four children, Damon Reed, Stephanie (Gregory) Marks, Melissa Reed and Felice Reed. Gloria graduated from Huntington High School. She was employed at Children's Hospital in Detroit, Michigan for 25 years before retiring in June 2001. She departed this earthy life on Thursday, April 28, 2011. She is survived by five sisters, Sara Jones, Barbara Watts, Leola Paige, Corla( Gregory) Rankins and Ernestine (Rick) Richmond; three brothers, Lorenzo (Mae) Powell, Jerry Jackson, and Johnnie Jackson; seven grand-children, Gary, Dennis, Ryan, Jazmin, Darius, Madyson, and Kennedy; and host of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be Monday, May 9, 2011 at Full Gospel Assembly Church. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am with Bishop Samuel Moore officiating. Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington, West Virginia is in charge of arrangements.
