Akeisha Darcell White
(April 24, 1971 - August 7, 2011)

The final chapter in the life of Akeisha Darcell White, 40 was written early Sunday morning, August 7, 2011. She answered the call and went quickly to sleep. Akeisha was born April 24, 1971 in Huntington, West Virginia to the late Dorothy(Lenora) White and Charles(Charlie)Brown. A loving mother, sister, niece, cousin and aunt, Akeisha loved and cared for everyone who needed her (especially little children). She had a loving devoted heart and celebrated with her family on as many occasions as possible. She was preceded by the death of her grandmother Mrs. Thelma Maxine White; her Aunt Mrs. Gwendolyn (Gwen) Oakley; and a niece Ms. Fawne Oakley of Huntington, WV. She is survived by two young sons, Phay-zon and Kyreh White of Huntington, WV; brothers Laron (Bruffy) White of St. Augustine, FL; Marcel Miller; a special friend Walter Stacker; her guardian and our lifetime family friend Trucella (Trucie) Perry, all of Huntington, WV; Aunts Beverly Hinton of Willcox, AZ; Lynette White of Charlotte, NC; Charlene Martin, Janice and India Brown-McCullough of Huntington; Fred White of Waldorf, MD; Frank White of Kennesaw, GA and Paul White of Henderson, KY. The family would like to extend a special thanks to St. Mary's Medical Center and care-givers Dee Dee and Desiree Turner, Robert Felder, Haley Butler, and Trucie Perry for all the love and care given to Akeisha during her many illnesses. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting contributions on behalf of Akeisha's two sons. Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
