Richard Alan Adkins
(April 22, 1951 - October 25, 2012)

Richard A. Adkins, 61 of Huntington passed away October 25, 2012 at his residence. He was born April 22, 1951 a son of the late Chester G. Adkins and Dorothy Black Adkins. Richard retired from BFI as a truck driver. He is survived by his wife, Linda L. Adkins of Huntington, one son, Robert Adkins of Huntington, one daughter, Amy Short (Richard) of Lesage, two brothers; Chester Adkins Jr. of Huntington, Jerry Adkins (Hansun) of Lavallette, one sister, Carolyn Holley of Wayne, and six grandchildren; Joshua, Jonathan, Brea, Sean, Liam, Dylan, and Lydia. A host of niece’s nephews and friends also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00pm Sunday October 27, 2012 at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home with Rev. Diana Clay officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Funeral Home. Arrangements are entrusted to Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington.
