Attorney Marsha Dalton
(June 21, 1950 -  April 9, 2013)



Ms. Marsha Dalton, daughter of the late David Marshall Dalton and Mae Frances Dalton, was born on June 21, 1950. She went home to be with the Lord on April 9, 2013. Marsha was affectionally known to everyone as “Che-Che Bug” and she was always recognized for her smile, laugh and sense of humor. Marsha was also known to all for her love of shopping especially at Macy’s and when she shopped she bought for everyone she knew family and friends. Marsha was a graduate of London High School in Walnut Cove, NC class of 1968. After graduation she attended Bennett College in Greensboro, NC. There she received her undergraduate degree and became a member of the founding Chapter of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority at Bennett College. Marsha also attended NC Central in Durham, NC where she received her Law Degree. Marsha was a practicing attorney for over thirty years in the Huntington, WV area. She also worked as a Law Professor at Marshall University in Huntington, WV. Marsha was preceded in death by her brothers Robert L. Dalton and Jack Wayne Dalton as well as her sister Frances Eileen Dalton. She leaves to cherish her memory one sister Renna Giles of Rural Hall, NC; three brothers Roland Dalton of Rural Hall, NC, Vincent Dalton (Rhonda) of Mayodan, NC and Dwon Dalton of Winston-Salem, NC. She also leaves to cherish her memory three aunts Margie Hairston, Walnut Cove, NC, Edna Hairston, Walnut Cove, NC, Mary Jane Hairston (Ted), Pine Hall, NC and one uncle Walter Dalton (Lillian), Hampton, Va. Marsha's memory will also be cherished by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Marsha will truly be missed by all who have ever known her smile, laugh, sense of humor and her caring and giving heart. Marsha was a blessing to our family and her memory will never be forgotten. A Memorial Service will be 12:oo Noon Saturday, April 13, 2013 at The Sixteenth Street Baptist Church, with Reverend Roy E. Terry, officiating. Burial will be in North Carolina.
