Janet Dolores Cooper
(March 23, 1935 - February 11, 2013)

Janet Dolores Cooper, 77, of Huntington, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 11, 2013, in Cabell Huntington Hospital. Janet was born on March 23, 1935, in Bath County, Warm Springs Virginia, a daughter of the late Willie Pettus and Virginia Charlton. She graduated from Douglass High School. She is survived by two sisters, Lelia Pettus and Mary (Michael) Hayes. Seven children to include Clyde Cooper, Jr., Linda (James) Buckhannon, William L. (Rita) Cooper, Michael E. (Deborah) Cooper, Tyrone Cooper, Marshall (Tracy) Cooper, and Richard N. Howard, as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a niece, two nephews, as well as many dear family friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 15, 2013. Visitation will be held at 6 PM at Sixteenth Baptist Church, followed by a Memorial Service at 7 PM with the Reverend Roy E. Terry, officiating.
