Velma I Shaw

Velma I Shaw of Huntington passed away October 24, 2013 at Heritage Center in Huntington. She was born in Logan County, a daughter of the late Leonhard Beatty and Gracie Starner. She had retired as a teacher from the Barnett Chaild Care Center. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister; Melba Bailey, and two brothers; Morris Beatty and Clyde Beatty. Velma is survived by her husband of 34 years, Marshall D. Shaw of Huntington, a nephew John Bailey of Columbus, OH and a niece Barbara Jean Franklin of Youngstown, OH. Funeral Services will be conducted at Monday, October 28th at 12:00 noon at Real Life Christian Center with Bishop Charles Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service time at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington.
