Thelma Ruth Jordan
(February 16, 1931 - April 13, 2015)

Thelma Ruth Jordan, 84, of Huntington, passed away on April 13, 2015 at Heritage Center in Huntington. Funeral Services will be held on Friday 17, 2015 at 12:00 P.M. Noon at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at White Chapel Cemetery in Barboursville. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Thelma was born February 16, 1931 in Sweetland, WV, a daughter of the late Seybert Blankenship and Reba Mae Cooper. Thelma was a member of the 36th Street Tabernacle in Huntington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Eugene “RED” Jordan; one son, Danny Lee Jordan Sr. and two brothers, Eugene Blankenship and Leo Blankenship. Thelma is survived by one daughter, Brenda Gail Jordan of Huntington; one daughter-in-law, Lynda Jordan; one brother, Charles and Connie Blankenship of Columbus, Ohio; one sister, Maxine Hannon (Albert) of Proctorville, OH; three grandchildren, Danny Lee Jordan Jr., James Nicholas Jordan (Shanna Elizabeth Jordan), Steven Jordan (Stephanie Ann Jordan), and two great-grandchildren, Sean Nicholas Jordan and Mikayla Aisling Jordan. A special sister in law, Phyllis Jordan Jeffers of Huntington, and two special friends, Roger and Delores Simmons of Barboursville also survive.
