James Willard Austin House
(December 31, 1924 - December 3, 2015)

James Willard Austin House, 90, of Huntington passed away December 3, 2015 at home. He was born December 31, 1924 in Petersburg, WV. He served in the United States Army and was a graduate of Harvard University Trade Union program, Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees (AFL-CIO). He had worked more than 40 years with the Chessie system as a track man and machine operator. James was active in Local Union Lodge 1028 BMWE where he had been elected as general chairman of the western Region office in Akron, OH in 1980. He was also active in the Grace UMC men’s bible class & lay leader. There will be no local services. Private out of town arrangements will be held at a later date. Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington is assisting the House family.
