Mae Francis Johnson
(July 18, 1938 - July 26, 2015)

Mae Francis Johnson, 77, of Huntington, WV passed away on July 26, 2015 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born on July 18, 1938 in Lorado, WV; a daughter of the late William Coleman and Louise Croft. Mae was a member of the Red Hat Society and attended Full Gospel Assembly Church. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willis Johnson, Sr., her son Willis Johnson, Jr. and her brothers: Charles Pannell and Wendall Coleman. She leaves behind to mourn her loss, her children: Diana Whiteside (Chester Newton) of Muskogee, OK, Cynthia Clemons (Keith) of Huntington, Teresa Johnson (Walter) of San Francisco, CA, Michael Johnson of Huntington, Kimberly Johnson of Huntington, John “Jay” Johnson of Mount Olive, WV and William Lealus Johnson of Huntington. Also surviving are her siblings: John Pannell, Russell Cochran, Melvin Cochran (Corrine), Kathryn Odinkenmelu, Rodney Cochran, William Coleman, Marylou Ehmir, Russell Coleman, Calvin Coleman, Kevin Coleman and Sandra Coleman; 24 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and her life friends, Betty Carter, Toni Page and Lois Cleckley. Mae was a homemaker all her life with a very large beloved family. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, August 3, 2015 with Pastor Samuel Moore officiating at Full Gospel Assembly at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington, WV.
