John "Jay" Wooding
(February 9, 1963 - June 21, 2015)

John "Jay" Wooding, 52, of Huntington, passed away on June 21, 2015 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Born February 9, 1963 in Huntington, he was the son of the late John E. and Maryanna Eldridge Wooding. He is survived by his loving wife, Kristine Thornburg; four children, Davia McCoy, Shanice Wooding, Chancelor Wooding and Christopher Thornburg; his siblings, Terry Parker and James (Virginia) Wooding; five grandchildren, Jaylan, Zacheriah, Jeriyah, Ta'Niya and Antonio; his special friend, Tracey Keith and a host of nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Annette Wooding. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the 16th Street Baptist Church in Huntington, with Rev. Roy Terry, officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior.
