Obituary

Marie P. Wells
(July 12, 1929 - November 20, 2015)

Marie Puckett Wells, 86, of Huntington, WV left this life and into eternal life on November 20, 2015. She was born July 12, 1929 in Lincoln Co., WV. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary Puckett, the daughter in law of Harley and Cecelia Wells who have passed before her. The wife of Robert C. Wells who passed July 23, 2013 and she has never been quite the same without him. She leaves behind two sons; Mike Wells and Steven Wells (Carol), Debbie Wells. Five Grandchildren, Missy, Matthew Clayton, Michael Wells (fiancé Rachel Seymour), Melanie & Randy Boss, Heather & Brian Ball and Craig & Jennifer Wells. 12 Great grandchildren; Marisa, Whitney, Kayla, Ashley Clayton, Allan & Alex Boss, Charlotte (Charlie), Brady Ball, Corbin, Madeline, Benjamin Wells and Jaidyce Vance who was her extended family by marriage along with Cheryl, Jordan and Jarrah Vance. Jaidyce loved to go see Granny and Pepaw with her Pawpaw (Steve). Nancy Welch who was her best friend in life. Nancy would take her to her doctor appointments and hair appointments or anything she needed before and after Bob died. They ran around, had lunches together and were in the Beverly Hills Woman's Club together and was her faithful, devoted friend who we love and appreciate more than we can say. A special thank you to Danette Moore Walker for loving her and being her care giver this last year of her life. It allowed Marie to stay in her own home the way she wanted it and we can never repay Danette for the love and care she gave to Marie. She was truly a Godsend. Marie was a kind and caring woman who catered to her husband and loved him with all her heart and missed him terribly. Marie took her kids to church and made sure they knew about the Lord. Her kids never did without and she made sure of that. She worked at Steel of WV and retired from there in the mid 80's. Graveside service will be at 1:00 P.M., Monday, November 23, 2015 at Ridgelawn Memorial Park. Gathering of friends will be 30 minutes prior in the mausoleum.
