Emma Marie Holland
(June 21, 1921 - April 10, 2016)



EMMA MARIE HOLLAND, 94, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away April 10, 2016, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born June 21, 1921, in Getaway, Ohio to the late Murrell Snyder-Ellis and Raymond Holland She was preceded in death by her step-father Walter R. Ellis; sister Thelma Holland Whiston, brother Raymond (Peggy) Ransbottom; niece Thelma Jean Price and nephew Michael Lee Ransbottom. Emma was a long-time member of 20th Street Baptist Church and worked for Owens-Illinois for over 35 years. She leaves behind to mourn her loss niece Kelly Simpson of Huntington; nephews Eddie Ransbottom (Carla) of Lavalette, Garee Ransbottom (Mary) of Huntington and David (Suzann) Ransbottom also of Lavalette. Also surviving are a host of great-nieces and nephews, Everette and Kelly Price Simpson of Huntington, Beth Ransbottom Thompson (Bruce), Aimee Ransbottom Gue, all of Huntington, Bart Price, Cris Price, Traci Price Gentsch of Fort Myers, Fla., Lisa Ransbottom Hayner (Jay), Mickee Ransbottom, all of Cincinnati, Ohio, Aaron Ransbottom (Lori) of Lebanon, Ohio, David Ransbottom (Cheri) of Columbus, Ohio and Josh Ransbottom of Lavalette. In addition, her great- great-nieces and nephews John, Brooke and Erick Dowdy, Adam Price, Patrick, Jessica, Zienna and Willow McCleary, Samantha and Lindsay Gentsch, Shayne and Ashley Gue, Samantha and Cameron Hayner, Matt, Lexi, Evan, Jake, Rachel, Luke, Brooke, Aleetha and Cole Ransbottom, Lauren, Carinne and Maddie Hughes. Emma was a beautiful, kind, sweet woman that always helped everyone. She will be missed dearly by all of her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, family asks that donation be made to Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Ridgelawn Memorial Park with Pastor Rodney Hale officiating.  Family will welcome friends one hour prior to services.
