William Edward Bartlett
(June 11, 1923 - May 12, 2016)

William Edward “Bill” Bartlett, Sr., 92 of Huntington, WV passed away on May 12, 2016. He was born on June 11, 1923 in Glenville, WV; a son of Nelson Hobart Bartlett and Daisy Garten. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma (Harless) Bartlett; his son, William “Ed” Bartlett, Jr. (Joyce Dunkle Bartlett); and his brothers: Starling, Ray, Eugene and Harley Bartlett. Bill leaves behind to mourn his loss his daughter, Barbara Davis; 3 grandchildren, Rebecca Houck, Andrea Whittington (Steve) and Amanda Davis Phillips (Willie); his six great-grandchildren: Ryan Houck, Rachael Houck, Alec Phillips, Braylon Whittington, Miley Whittington and Grady Phillips. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Baptist Temple, 902 21st St. Huntington, WV 25703 or the VA Medical Center. Bill was a member of the Baptist Temple, Huntington Masonic Lodge and the Huntington Rifle Club. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. with the funeral services being conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 19, 2016 with Pastor Andy Magnusson officiating at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home; burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park.
