Melvin Anthony Courts, Jr.
(December 7, 1991 - June 12, 2018)

Melvin Anthony Courts, Jr., 26 of Huntington, WV went to be with his Heavenly Father Tuesday, June 12, 2018.  He was born on December 7, 1991 in Columbus, OH to parents, Melvin Anthony Courts, Sr. and Marie Lynn (Curry) Courts.  He leaves behind to cherish his memory; sister, La’Kishia S. Courts; brother, Jaysen L. Redman, Sr.; daughter, Nylah R. Smith-Courts and her mother, La’Kiah Smith.  Also, surviving is his uncles, James B. Courts, Jerry Brandon, Preston Curry and Allan Sheffield; aunts, Melody A. Courts, Shawnta Fox and Jaquaweta Melcalf; niece, Jordan Redman and nephew, Jaysen Redman, Jr. and Donté Atkins; paternal grandparents, Shelli Curry & Robert Scott; maternal grandparents, Jan A. Courts and Jerry J. Jackson and a host of other family members and friends.  Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Friday, June 22, 2018 at 16^th Street Baptist Church with Bishop Samuel R. Moore, officiating.  Family will welcome friends at 12 Noon.  Per the Courts’ family wishes, Melvin will be cremated following services.
