Barbara Jean Wright
(July 28, 1959 - June 18, 2018)

Barbara Jean (Walls) Wright, 58, of Huntington, WV went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, June 18, 2018.  She was born on July 28, 1959 to Rebecca and James Walls.  She was an avid track star and cheerleader for Fairfield High School, graduating in 1977.  Barbara met her husband, William “Terry” Wright in 1973.  Their union lasted 45 years.  They were proud parents of two daughters, Rebecca Wright-Burger (James) and La’Terrica Wright.  Barbara was blessed with 3 beautiful grandchildren: Kamry, Shymeik and Qasim; two special great-grandchildren: Rylen and Kaden.  Barbara was a magnet to other children and would always have a house full of kids where she devoted her time teaching them from hairdressing to how to care for plants.  She loved them all and vice versa.  She was preceded in death by parents; 3 brothers, James Walls, Melvin Walls and Robert Walls; two sisters, Everline Walls and Belinda Walls.  She leaves behind to mourn her memory; her husband and children; 2 sisters, Lavena Walls-Tribbett (Lrandrew) and Terina Thacker (Steve) and 1 brother, James “Pokey” Walls.  Also, surviving is a host of nieces and nephews; some of whom would not leave her side, Michael Walls, Moleta Hendricks, Jerrisha Mitchell and Tameka Walls-Ware.  Barbara also leaves to mourn a special friend, Annie Williams and a host of relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be conducted at 12 Noon, Friday, June 29, 2018 at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home with Bro. Melvin Walls, officiating.  Family will welcome friends at 11:00 A.M.  Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, Huntington.
