Freddie Lee Hagler
(February 17, 1938 - February 1, 2020)



Freddie Lee Hagler, 81, of Huntington, WV passed away Saturday, February 1st, 2020. He was born February 17th, 1938 in Fletcher, KY, a son of the late Grant and Edith Rankin Hagler. He was reared by his late grandparents, Espie and Gertrude Rankin, in Huntington. He was a graduate of Douglass High School. He retired from BASF Corporation. He was an avid bowler, still active in several senior bowling leagues. Fredlee was passionately devoted to friends and family. He never met a stranger that he couldn’t strike a conversation with, and he could always get a smile from anyone with his wit and humor. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Loretta Reed Hagler. He leaves to mourn his loss, two daughters, Angela (Gary) Howard of Angier, NC; and Bernadette Hagler of Clayton, NC; one son, Cornell (Herminia) Hagler of North Las Vegas, NV; three grandchildren, Jarred Howard and Justin Howard of Angier; and Candace Hagler of North Las Vegas; four sisters, Betty Veasley, Blonzetta Shannon and Consuella Main, all of Tucson, AZ; and Carolyn Hackworth of Bel Ridge, MO; two brothers, Grant Chester (Movale) Hagler of Riverdale, GA; and Michael (Loretta) Hagler of Tucson, AZ; several special sisters-in-law; close relatives, Gregory Rankin of Huntington and Keith Royster of Pittsburgh, PA; a host of nieces, nephews, many other family members and friends. He will be truly missed. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 Noon, Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home with Bishop Gary Edwards, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Douglass Foundation Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 1673, Huntington, WV 25717-1673. Family will welcome friends at 11:00 A.M.
