Jacqueline Harold Patricia Wells

   Born: July 14, 1946 in Mingo County, WV to John Harold Long and Mollie Lomax Long; both of whom preceded her in death.  She transitioned from earth to glory July 8, 2020.  Jackie was a longtime member of the 16^th St. Baptist Church where she served faithfully until her death.  A faithful daughter, wife and mother, she was a living example of the scripture found in Ephesians 4:32, “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ sake hath forgiven you.”  She was kind to everyone she encountered and was loved by all.  As encouragement to those in need she would remind you that only what you do for Christ will last.

   Jackie is survived by her husband of 52 years John, Sr; son, John, Jr. (Nicole;) daughter, Jennifer Lynn; bonus daughter, Erica Chukwuemeka; grandchildren: John III, Nehkai and Kirah; great-grandchildren:  Johnar’e Noelle, Aaliyah, Mia, Aalijah, Aamiyah and a host of loving cousins, special friends and neighbors.

   A Home Going service will be 12:00 P.M, Monday, July 20, 2020 at the 16th St. Baptist Church, Huntington, WV with Rev. James H. Redd Jr. officiating. Interment will immediately follow at the Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service. Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington, WV is assisting the family.
