George Vincent Coles

George Vincent Coles,
Born December 9, 1965, peacefully departed this life taking his Heavenly Father’s hand on August 29, 2021, at the age of 55 years, 8 months, and 20 days. He was preceded in death by his parents: George Coles, Edna Ruth Clay, brother: Michael Earl Nelson, and sister: Peggy Yvonne Friday.
Born in Huntington, WV, he was known by most as George, but affectionally known as Vinny to his siblings, nieces, and nephews.
Vincent worked for Bergen County Animal Shelter & Adoption Center, which he did enjoy very much.
He loved his New York Yankees you dare not say anything against his team or you would never hear the end of it. He generally watched most sports and if there was anything in the news trust me, he would let you know you need not worry about missing out. He truly loved his dog Sue that was his buddy.
Vincent relocated to Rutherfordton, North Carolina, in May 2020, where he resided with his devoted dog Sue. Vincent always greeted people with a kindhearted smile that made your day brighter. He was also very funny. He loved his crime shows and news channels. Vincent recently reunited with his daughters which absolutely lifted his sprits. George Vincent leaves to cherish his memory, three sisters: Annette (Mike) Smith of Akron, Ohio, Joyce Paige of Las Vegas, Nevada, Allison (Holger) Bumueller of Rutherfordton, North Carolina, Two brothers: Enos Paige of Henrietta, New York, Jeffrey Coles of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Two daughters: Lisi Coles of Brooklyn, New York and Gabrielle Coles of Lodi, New Jersey, Aunt Wilma (Clarence) Simmons of Buffalo, New York and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff members of Autumn Care of Saluda, Nursing Home,
Greenville Hospital, Spartanburg Regional Hospital, Rutherfordton Hospital and St. Luke’s Hospital
The medical challenges George Vincent experienced did not prevent him from treasuring life to its fullest. We will
miss George Vincent loving smile and spirit.
