Gary Lee Pettyjohn

Of Huntington, WV, passed away June 28, 2021 at the age of Sixty-Six years, Two months & Six days. He was born April 22, 1955, to the late Alvin Lee and Elsie Jean (Pennington) Pettyjohn.

Gary was a Native American advocate for missionary work at the Lakota Sioux reservation at South Dakota and a veteran of the U.S Navy.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife: Evelyn Victoria (Berczik) Pettyjohn, son: Jason Pettyjohn and his daughter: Caelyn Pettyjohn, son: Gary (Melanie) Pettyjohn Jr. and his four children: Gabriel Pettyjohn, Dylan Pettyjohn, Tristian Pettyjohn, Jocelyn Pettyjohn, daughter: Amy Pettyjohn and her four children: Devin Chinn, Jacob Chinn and his son: Braxton Chinn, Jaden Esque, Ayden Esque, daughter: Betty Woods (Chris Esque) and her four children: Haley (Danny) VanNatter and her son Weston VanNatter, Kayla (Justin) Grimes, Dakota (Ryley) Mayhome, Brandon Wood II, step-daughter: Crystal Williams and her daughter: Jimmie (Patrick) McCluney and their daughter: Athena, step-daughter: Paula Gresham and her four children: Haley Jackson and her children: Ryker, Layla & Kingsten, Stephanie Hollister, Kailey Horne and her child: August, Elijah Horne, step-daughter: Shannon (Chris) Caserta and her three children: Madison Caserta, Cristian Caserta, Aubree Caserta, one step- son: Erwin Rardin Jr. and his two children: Zoe Rardin and Bella Rardin and one sister: Sharon (Philip) Storms.

A Funeral service will be conducted 12:00 P.M, Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home with Brother Robert D, Kitchen officiating. A public visitation will be held from 11:00 to 12:00 P.M, Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home. Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion, Post 16.
