Virginia Annette Bailey,
97 Years, 5 Months and 29 Days, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 22, 2021. She was born on April 23, 1924 to her late parents, Chester Rudisell and Allie (Hicks) Rudisell. She is preceded in death along with her parents, her loving husband of 50 years, Nokomis “Nick” Bailey. She attended Aracoma Elementary, Logan High School and WV State College. She was a member of Cole Street Baptist Church for 40 years. She also worked as a Dental Assistant for 10 years in Logan, WV and spent the rest of her time being an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law to her family. She made sure that all three of her children graduated college. Mammaw always took pride in saying that she raised her grandsons, David and Jonathan because Pamela spent a lot of time at work. She leaves behind to cherish her memory; daughter, Jeannette Marie Bailey-Rollins (Michael C.) of Ironton, OH; and sons, David Nick Bailey (Pamela L.) of Huntington, WV and Carlos J. Bailey of Columbus, OH. Also, surviving are her grandchildren: Jennifer M. Rollins-Marik, Michael D. Rollins, both of Ironton, OH, David O. Bailey, Nicholas E. Rollins and Jonathan A. Bailey; and one great-granddaughter, Jocelyn A. Rollins-Sharpe and a host of other family members and friends. A Home Going Celebration will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home with Bishop Gary Brydie, officiating. Family will welcome friends at 9:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow services at Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington.
