Obituary
CARMICHAEL LEE MYERS,
70, born November 1, 1950, in Huntington WV to his loving parents, Dan
Massie Myers and Betty Mae (Harvey) Myers. Carmichael transitioned from his
earthly body on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Cabell Huntington Hospital
after a extended illness of over 20 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David
Jerome Glover, Sr. and his brother, Harvey Eugene Myers.
He is graduate of Fairfield High School. After school, he went into the US
Army serving tours in Vietnam with an Honorable Discharge. He worked with
his father’s business, Dan Myers Plumbing and years later went to work for
Marshall University and retiring after 15 years due to health issues.
Fishing with his buddies, Gary & Doug was one of his many hobbies; as well
as watching wrestling and westerns on TV. Carmichael always enjoyed and
loved spending time with his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory and legacy; his loving wife of 38 years,
Mary Rebecca “Becky” (Williams) Myers; son, Jason Williams; grandchildren
whom he raised, Joslyn, David II and Numarious Glover, NaKeal Hutchinson and
Miajia Williams, all of Huntington, WV. Also, surviving is his brother,
Marvie (Tina) Myers of Huntington; special Daughter, Michelle Hutchinson;
and special cousin, Cornell “Major” Myers.
Special friends include; Debbie Brown, Jamie Lou, Maurice King, Jami
Hamilton (Mike’s Home Aide Nurse), Toni Arnold; along with the entire Myers
Family and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and
friends.
A Home-Going service will be conducted 12:00 P.M, Monday, November 1, 2021
at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington, WV with Pastor Emeritus
Reginald Hill and Pastor George Scott, officiating. Military Honors will be
conducted by the American Legion Post 16.
