Gloria Jean Black, 80, of Barboursville, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2016 at her residence. Born October 3, 1935 in Milton, she was a daughter of the late Hersey Birch and Essie Chapman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Black and her sister, Linda Wallace. She is survived by her children, Debra (Mike) Legg of Winchester, VA, Kathy Black of Barboursville and John A. Black of Barboursville; her brothers, Edward Birch of Barboursville, Hersey (Carol) Birch of Walkertown, NC and Michael (Andrea) Birch of Kernesville, NC; her sisters, Betty (Orville) Payne of South Pittdburg, TN, Sharon (Jim) Nale of Seymour, TN and Brenda Thompson of Wadsworth, OH; grandsons, Bryden Legg of Wetumpka, FL and Joseph Black; great-granddaughter, Emily Legg of Wetumpka, FL. Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Forest Memorial Park in Milton. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. prior to services at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
