Barbara Young, 69, of Milton, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington. Born August 31, 1946 in Huntington, she was a daughter of the late Eschol White and Maxine Daily. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Dale Young. She is survived by her daughters, Terri Denise Winters of Barboursville and Christina (Lynn) Simmons of Milton; siblings, Darrell (Kathy) White of Milton, Kay White of Sturebant, Wisconsin, Nelson (Marciel) White of New Milton, WV and Ronnie (Dotty) White of Milton; her grandchildren, Alonzo Cole Varney, Rachael Simmons, Ben Simmons, Jr., Katherine Cook and Rebecca Simmons and her great-grandson, James Cook. Barbara was a member of the Chestnut Grove Baptist Church in Milton and retired from the Cabell County Board of Education in 2012. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with Pastor Mark Hesson and Chelcie Gibson, co-officiating. Burial will follow at Bicker Cemetery in Milton. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
