Obituary

Ada Estelleise Morris Gay, 98, of Hampton, Virginia died at home Wednesday, November 9, 2016. She was a native of Cabell County, West Virginia and has been a Hampton resident since 1956. She was preceded in death by her husband James Howard Gay; and her parents, Delmar Morris and Lula Hodges Morris. Left to cherish Ada’s memory are her daughters and their spouses; Jane Compton (Bob) of Roanoke, Virginia; Brenda Whitely (Ross) of Hampton, Virginia; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Ada was a member of Ivy Memorial Baptist Church and retired after 27 years from Noland Company. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 21, 2016, at Valley View Memorial park in Hurricane, West Virginia. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Heartland Hospice Care of Newport News, Hospice House Support Care of Williamsburg and Elaine Brown of Hampton for their care and support.
