Obituary

DARREL E. CHAPMAN, 57, of Milton went home to be with the Lord Thursday, April 22, 2004, in the V.A. Medical Center, Huntington. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, April 26, 2004, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with the Rev. Jason Black officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park. He was born Nov. 17, 1946, in Culloden, a son of Lillian Janey Chapman of Milton and the late Cecil I. Chapman. He was also preceded in death by two sisters. Mr. Chapman was employed with the Cabell County Board of Education. He is survived by his wife, Opal Midkiff Chapman; two sons and daughters-in-law, Darrin and Bethany Chapman of Huntington and Michael and Melanie Chapman of Lavalette; two daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Bill Hogsett of Barboursville and Misty and Steve Parsons of Hamlin, W.Va.; four brothers; five sisters; and eight grandchildren. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 25, at the funeral home.
