Obituary

Woodrow W. "Bo" Wilson, 88 of Ona, WV, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, April 24, 2004 at Putnam General Hospital, Hurricane.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, April 26, 2004 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with  Pastor Mark Finley officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton.  He was born September 20, 1915 in Stoney Creek, WV, a son of the late Charles A. and Ida J. Allen Wilson.  He was also preceded in death by one daughter; two grandsons; four brothers, Russell, Howard, Harry and Bert; and two sisters, Lettie Hedrick and Cammie Canterbury.  Mr. Wilson was an avid farmer and gardener.  He was also a member of Sunrise Temple Baptist Church, Ona WV  He is survived by his wife, Jewel Blankenship Wilson; three sons and daughter-in-law, Willard M. and Betty Wilson of Springfield, VA, Melvin L. and Gayle Wilson and Richard K. and Judy Wilson. both of Mocksville,  NC; thee daughters and son-in-laws, Phyllis and Floyd Gum of Rupert, WV, Donna and Harold Boggess of Alderson, WV and Cathy and Blaine Smith of Wayside, WV; one sister, Evelyn Wilson of Hinton, WV; six stepsons, Vernon and Kathy Blankenship, Alvin and Mary Lou Blankenship, Doug and Diane Blankenship, all of Gap Mills, WV, Harold and Ted Blankenship of Huntington and Clark and Nancy Blankenship of Chester, VA; 11 step grandchildren; and 18 step great grandchildren.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral home.
