Obituary

ELMER ORLANDO BALL, 90, of Kilgore Creek, Milton, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 29, 2004, after a long illness. Funeral Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2004, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with the Rev. Joe Dolen and the Rev. James Jobe officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. He was born March 21, 1914, in Milton, W.Va., a son of the late Otta and Fannie Nicholas Ball. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Dorkas Ball Gill; sister, Leona Vititoe and brother, Cecil Ball. He was a former employee of Harshbarger Milling Co., and retired from Blenko Glass Co. He was also a member and trustee of Good Hope Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Florence Neal Ball; one son and daughter-in-law, Marvin and Barbara Ball of Milton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Dotty and Bobby Courts of Milton, Thelma and Buzzy Hutchinson of Milton and Sharon and Jerry Morrison of Salt Rock; three brothers, Hubert Ball of St. Albans, Raymond Ball of Hurricane and Bill Ball of Milton; two sisters, Opal Wooten of St. Albans and Delsie Neal of Milton; 12 grandchildren, Matthew Courts, Anita and George Robinson, Michelle and Wesley Linville, Lisa and Charlie Bowen, Teresa and George Keeney, Daren Ball, Kristy and Steven Nester, Michael and Kathy Morrison, Jonnathan and Amanda Morrison, April and Michael Billups, Heather Hutchinson and Eric Gill; 15 great grandchildren, Natasha Robinson, Allison Robinson, Tabitha Linville, Andrew Linville, Leesha Campbell, Trey Nester, Hayden Nester, Austin Morrison, Hunter Morrison, Kyle Lawhorn, Summer Bowen, Caleb Bowen, Darien Ball, Zachary Billups and Shawn Billups. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and a host of many friends. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 2 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
