Obituary

VENA EVELYN MEADOWS, 80, of Milton, went home to be with her Lord Wednesday, March 17, 2004, at her home. Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2004, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with the Rev. Don Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Fairfield Cemetery. She was born February 20, 1924, to the late George W. and Myrlie Holley. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Richard Meadows; daughter-in-law, Sharon Meadows; brother, Roe Holley; and brother-in-law, Joe Barker and grandson-in-law, Brian Haga. She is survived by six sons, Richard Jr. (Barbara), Larry (Kay), Darrell (Sarah), Barry (Debbie), all of Milton, Garry (Mary) of Glenwood, and Michael of Apple Grove; three daughters, Betty (Ronnie) Robertson and Eloise (Wayne) Doss, both of Ashton and Joyce (Don) Reynolds of Fraziers Bottom; 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; a sister, Belma Barker of Glenwood; sister-in-law, Sue Holley of Milton; three nephews; one niece and a host of friends and loved ones. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 20, at Heck Funeral Home.
